I'm Emily, the one you'll find behind the lens here at The Pedersen Place. My love for photography began from the time I was little, but I didn’t start to realize how much I loved it until my Sophomore year of college in 2014. During that time, I took a break from nursing school, bought a camera, and the rest is history! Although I still consider nursing a passion of mine, photography is also a huge part of my life. I think what attracts me to both professions simply comes down to caring for others.
A few things I love are iced lattes, decorating, details, and being outdoors! I LOVE everything involving home decor and renovating. Anything modern farmhouse has my name written all over it. I'm a firm believer in enjoying all the little things in life because life is too short not to!
On May 30th, 2015 I married my high school sweetheart, Preston. We're both from south-central Iowa but started a new adventure in Eastern Iowa in 2016 where Preston landed his dream job as a strength and conditioning coach and football coach. You might even see him tagging along with me to sessions and weddings!
